I am Joe, a journalist and graduate of English Literature with First Class Honours from Cardiff University, part of the Russell Group of elite universities that are recognised for their research excellence.

I take great pleasure in writing, minoring in Creative Writing during my degree with similarly First Class results. I find it helps give a vibrant edge to my copywriting and editing ability, even in articles and other non-fiction work; it is the twist of lemon atop a martini glass of clear, potent reality, catching the eye and helping to bring character to the table.

I have interviewed companies far and wide, from Virtual Reality start-ups to Fortune 500 leaders and a host of major companies including Strava, Tag Heuer, Activision and Patagonia - all in the name of producing professional, informative articles that are backed up by strong research.

I played a lead role in developing a newsletter as part of my work with the employer branding experts at Human Magic, instilling a witty and uplifting style that would warm the inboxes of major clientele including Apple, Microsoft and L'Oréal.

I wrote articles for the 2021 G7 Summit, helping the official tourism board of Cornwall to broaden their outreach at a time when the world's eyes and their leaders had descended upon Carbis Bay. In writing about the nations of the G7 and their connections to Cornwall, I was able to explore my own heritage whilst celebrating some of the unions that have seen the Cornish thrive in some of the unlikeliest places.

On the subject of the Cornish thriving in unlikely places, I do enjoy travelling; I have studied Icelandic literature for a year in Reykjavík and taught English in a small Fijian village. It is always good to find new avenues to explore and, with your direction, I look forward to finding yet more - whether that is on uncharted territory, or behind the comfort of my own desk.
